Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

Privsnap reads text from images entirely within your browser and lets you copy that text, export a searchable PDF, and detect and redact potentially sensitive information. The recognition and all exports run on your device. We provide the software, accounts, and billing around it, and may add, change, or remove features over time.

You can use the free tier without an account. To subscribe, you must create an account with accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@privsnap.sumku.cc of any unauthorized use.

• The free tier permits up to five images per day per network address, at no cost and without an account.
• An unlimited subscription is offered for $4.99 per month and removes the daily image limit.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
• Prices are stated exclusive of taxes; applicable taxes are calculated and collected by our merchant of record.

Payments are processed by creem.io, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase and is responsible for billing, invoicing, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the current paid period, and cancellation stops future renewals. Refunds, where offered, are handled in accordance with creem.io’s buyer terms and applicable law.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process material you do not have the right to process, or for any unlawful purpose.
• Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with usage limits, security, or other features of the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
• Resell or commercially redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted.

You retain all rights to the images you process and the text you extract. Because that processing happens on your device, we do not receive, claim, or acquire any license to your content. The Service itself, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

The Service relies on third parties, including creem.io for payments and Cloudflare for hosting and email delivery. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Optical character recognition is inherently imperfect; extracted text may contain errors, and you are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Privsnap and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Privsnap from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.

We may modify the Service or these Terms. For material changes to the Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide reasonable notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to resolve disputes in the courts located there, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
